Often the dream of owning a yacht does not come true because there is no small change. Today's yachts have become much cheaper, but the savings are usually not enough to be able to afford a yacht.
That is why the charter market is booming, where - like us - you can charter great yachts at affordable prices. But still the desire to own a yacht often remains. So why not combine these two variants, buy a yacht and guarantee the financing through the charter income. This so-called purchase charter model or yacht investment has proven itself, but you should consider a few things and look for selected partners.
myCHARTERway has been active in the charter market for over 10 years and has made a good name for itself with customers and partners as well as with agencies. We play an important role in the premium charter segment, and we want to expand this market with selected yachts.

Bookings:
We use the booking system from Yachtbooker, so that you can always check the Internet to see how many bookings there are on your yacht. In this way you can also see remaining weeks that you can then use yourself. Bookings are made between 18 and 26 weeks.
Every owner can book his yacht at any time, but one should not forget the commercial idea, as the financing should be covered by the charter income. Of course, this only applies if the yacht is financed, ie in the most profitable month of August you should let the yacht earn money, for which the yachts are available for the owner in the pre-season and post-season.
A certain number of owner weeks are not contractually agreed.
Charter prices:
The charter prices are calculated by us and coordinated with you. Before you buy, you will receive a calculation made by us, from which you can see how many weeks can be booked and what returns we achieve.
Charter market:
We have our yachts on the IJsselmeer. The charter market is booming and especially at these times, areas that can be reached by car are at the top. Premium charter market only offers selected yachts. We want to enlarge our base on the IJsselmeer due to the high demand.
Charter cancellation insurance:
Due to our longstanding relationship with the Hamburg yacht insurance company, we have taken out charter insurance for all of our yachts there. So if a guest returns the yacht so defective that we are not able to repair the damage within 24 hours, the yacht cannot sail and we have to use a replacement yacht, the insurance will pay you 6/7 of the charter fee .
Duration of the charter.
The yachts are chartered out for up to 3 years. Together we will make the decision when your yacht should be sold or when it will become your private property. This depends on the bookings. The contracts between you and us are made for 3 years and are automatically extended for a further year if neither party terminates.

Guarantee of the yacht
Depending on the shipyard, there is a guarantee of up to 24 months. We carry out the guarantee work on behalf of the shipyards, there are no costs for you during the 24 month guarantee period.
Liability insurance In Holland, the regulation applies that the yachts must be provided with liability insurance as well as comprehensive insurance. We also take out charter cancellation insurance, which covers the eventual breakdown of the yacht.

Calculation:
For every yacht that we recommend for charter, there is a calculation or we can create one. Based on this calculation, you can see what income can be expected in order to generate the monthly To be able to pay installments, the yacht should be financed. To be able to cover installments with a 30% down payment, we need about 18-20 weeks booked.
Deposit:
The insurance companies require a deductible. The charter guest must deposit this sum on the base. If defects are found upon return or the charter guest has lost part of the equipment, we will keep the deposit and then invoice the costs for the repair or the procurement of new equipment.

Since the yacht is used commercially, this VAT can be deducted as input tax.

New value insurance:
Our yachts are - legally required - fully insured. We take out insurance as new, which means that if the yacht is lost, the purchase price will be replaced.

Model A
The fixed return You are an investor and invest your money in a yacht.
The security: You are an investor and invest your money in a yacht, just like with a bond. You get a security transfer.
Fiscal: As with a bond, you must declare interest income and pay capital gains tax.
The rate of return: 5% fixed rate of return on the net capital of the yacht - excluding own costs. Own use: 2 weeks can be booked firmly. There are no costs for you. Your return will be increased even more through your own use.
The own cost share: is borne by us.

Model B
The turnover-dependent return: You are the owner and leave the ship to us for marketing.
The security: you are the owner of the yacht.

Loyal customers Over the years we have built a large customer base. 92% of our customers come back, which shows the consistently good performance of our base managers and their crews.

Distribution of sales 60% of the sales achieved will be charged to you, 40% remain with us. We use this to pay for the base, service, check-in and check-out, catalogs and trade fair visits. You will pay for the berth and insurance.

Preservation of value The benefit of this system lies in selling the yacht at a profit after the end of the charter (as I said, it may be more than 5 years). That is why maintaining value is an important issue for us. Please come and visit us and have a look at the yachts that have been chartered for more than 5 years. We are known for the good condition of the yachts.

Yacht sales:
It is our job - after we have made the decision together - to find out where we can sell the used yachts at a good price. There are different regional markets where you can best sell the yachts. At the moment it is in Europe England and Scandinavia, we work together with selected used boat dealers and also try to market the yachts directly.
Time:
The yacht should be purchased as early as possible so that the yachts can be delivered in time for the coming season. The yachts should be at the respective bases by the beginning of March at the latest, so that the bureaucratic effort - unfortunately still there - can be dealt with within 4 weeks. Often the shipyards offer special conditions in the 3rd quarter of the year, we are also careful here and recommend that you purchase them.
